No. The Eyebot kiosk provides a vision test focused on determining your eyeglass prescription. It does not replace a comprehensive eye exam, which evaluates overall eye health and can detect medical conditions. We recommend continuing to see an eye doctor for regular comprehensive exams.

No. Currently, the Eyebot kiosk works for eyeglass prescriptions only.

No. You can use the Eyebot kiosk at any time without ever having to make an appointment. Be sure to check for operating hours at the location closest to you.

No—just like in a regular vision test, Eyebot collects multiple points of patient data (including visual acuity, refraction, and lensometer data, and then our tele-doctors craft a final prescription just like in their own clinic.

No, Eyebot is not a glasses retailer. But you can take your Eyebot prescription and buy glasses at any optical retailer that you choose.

Eyebot’s second generation (Gen2) touch-free autorefractor technology is on par with the gold standard clinical systems.

No. Every prescription issued through Eyebot is written and verified by a licensed eye doctor. The Eyebot kiosk collects refraction, lensometry, visual acuity, and patient history—information commonly gathered in an eye care clinic. Those results are securely sent to a licensed eye doctor who reviews them and decides whether or not to issue a prescription.
