Doctors or their technicians first collect multiple points of patient data from visual acuity tests, refraction measurements, current eyeglass or contacts settings, past prescriptions, and personal attributes like age, gender, and ethnicity. With this information, the doctor “crafts” a well-tolerated prescription for the patient. It’s a combination of art and science.
Does eyebot prescribe directly from the scanner?
No! Just like in a regular vision test, Eyebot collects multiple points of patient data and then our tele-doctors “craft” a final prescription just like in their own clinic.
Can I purchase glasses through the kiosk?
Not currently. We make it easy to purchase through partner retailers after receiving your vision test through our kiosk.
How accurate is Eyebot’s eye scanner?
Eyebot’s first generation (Gen1) contactless eye scanner is already on par with or exceeding the leading clinical autorefractors such as the Nidek ARK-1 or Topcon KR-8000.
