Retailers pilot fast, affordable eyeglass prescriptions using Eyebot’s technology across 12 Walmart Vision Centers and 4 Sam’s Club Optical Centers in Pennsylvania.

BENTONVILLE, Ark. – Dec. 11, 2025 — Walmart and Sam’s Club have introduced Eyebot automated vision-testing kiosks, offering eyeglass prescriptions in about 15 minutes, giving customers and members a faster, simpler option for eyeglass prescriptions. At Walmart Vision Centers, kiosk visits include a $25 administrative fee. For Sam’s Club members, the service is covered as part of their membership at participating club locations. The pilot expands convenient eye care access across the state.

Eyebot’s S1+ technology delivers accurate results to a licensed, independent eye doctor for prescription review. The process complements in-store and in-club optical expertise at Walmart and Sam’s Club, helping meet growing demand for vision services while maintaining best-in-class standards of care.

This pilot reflects Walmart’s and Sam’s Club’s people-led, tech-powered approach to supporting health journeys — using innovation to make care more convenient and accessible. Recent studies show over 25% of U.S. counties lack an optometrist or ophthalmologist¹, which is particularly impactful to rural counties — a designation for 48 of Pennsylvania’s 67 counties².

In areas where access might be limited, tools like this help our teams serve customers and members more efficiently.

“In areas where access might be limited, tools like this help our teams serve customers and members more efficiently,” said Jason Wong, Regional Health & Wellness Director for Walmart, covering Pennsylvania. “It enables clinicians to focus on the comprehensive care they’re uniquely trained to provide.”

Across the participating Pennsylvania Vision and Optical Centers, customers and members are supported by dedicated teams of experts, ensuring personalized and trusted care.

Our collaboration with Walmart and Sam’s Club represents a shared mission to make quality vision care accessible to everyone, everywhere.
